The Harvest
"The Harvest" is the title of this little gem of a photo. Would look chic in a kitchen or breeze way approach to any kitchen, especially renovated old farm houses. Would love to hear feedback from so many of you regarding my photos or my blog.
The title of this photo is "The Wait" ...shelter is set up, decoys are out, duck call at the ready, now the waiting with anticipation.

Mail Box
Neat gift one of my sons gave us last Christmas. He took a photo of Rangeley Lake that I had taken and put it on this new mailbox he gave us. Sun and weather resistant and just an all around neat gift that my wife and I will enjoy for a long time.
This old exit sign at a drive in theater caught my eye and thought it was neat being that it brought back wonderful teen memories. That theater is still operating today in Skowhegan, Maine.
Poking around our camp land a short time after we purchased it we came upon this old Pontiac car that was pretty well buried other than what is visible. Not sure what year it is but there is an interesting story that goes with it so when ever I walk by it I always have a small grin on my lips. If you look close you may see that it was the original stick shift!
My wife who loves to paint and do all kinds of neat stuff must have been feeling kind of tall the other day for she got her colors out and created these two giraffes. If I must say, not bad for a couple quickies.

Bee coming in to refuel with more sweet nectar
Nothing goes to waste in nature, here this chickadee is gathering deer hair for his nest.

Photo of "Coop" the coopers hawk that visits the yard once or twice a week. Of course it is great hunting in the yard with all the bird feeders about.
This scary dude is a large painting my wife did for our Great Grand daughter. At first she was afraid of it but after a few visits they have become really good friends.
Female Cardinal enjoying something good to eat while keeping her back to the snow storm. Few other feathered friends with her as well.
Another female cardinal trying to get some protection and warmth from a Maine snow storm.
Last but not least are these Jack-O-lantern mushroom growing at the base of a dead American chestnut tree stump. Hope you enjoyed this weeks photos. Six more weeks after tomorrow and spring will be here.
